Having worked for many years in the luxury travel industry, organising every variety of trip to Italy, be it walking tours in Sicily, private villas in Tuscany, ski guiding in the Dolomites or romantic tailor-made honeymoons, I finally came to live here in 2007. In 2008 I set up my own consultancy and have Italian citizenship. I live with Muffin, my lovely Welsh Terrier, who follows in the footsteps of MoJo, and accompanies me all over Italy researching and checking out new and existing destinations for my portfolio.
I am based in the remote hills of Lunigiana in Northern Tuscany from where I check out every destination I promote. This is something I believe to be incredibly important as I will only recommend destinations I know are special, boutique and where I would stay myself. Having worked and explored Italy from head to tail, I provide reliable, informative and in-depth knowledge… and, so far, I have been able to provide everything and anything my clients ask for be it a secret hideaway for a famous VIP to a surprise birthday boat weekend along the Ligurian coast or a private concert and dinner in an exclusive Palazzo in Venice.
Speaking fluent Italian and having great connections in every corner of Italy means I help my clients book their dream vacation. I recognise how busy people are, so it’s my pleasure to be able to guide clients to the most genuine restaurants, provide private visits to hidden Palazzos, take a trip in a speed boat along the Cinque Terre, drive a vintage Alfa Spider though the Tuscan hills or learn to make pasta in the surroundings of one’s private villa. The concierge service I provide is second to none because I want everyone to love Italy as much as I do and have a truly memorable experience.
I pride myself on being available around the clock, throughout the year to make my clients’ holidays as stress free and fulfilled as possible. My relationship with villa and hotel owners, private guides, restauranteurs, chefs and wineries is like a little ‘black book’ and thus offers clients great opportunities that otherwise they probably would not have. I’ve been told that my skills lie in an ability to communicate openly, honestly and enthusiastically – and as a fluent Italian speaker it helps open many doors.
